TEST CENTERS

The TOEFL iBT is administered in a network of secure
Internet-based test centers on fixed test dates. The test is
offered 30 to 40 times a year, but the number of administrations
in any one location varies based on volume, test center capacity,
and time zone. With more than 4,500 test centers in 165 countries,
taking the test is convenient and easy.
TOEFL iBT TEST CENTERS IN
MOLDOVA
The administration of the TOEFL iBT in Moldova started on
September 23, 2006. Currently, there are four ETS-authorized
Internet-based test centers in Chişinău. The TOEFL iBT
is administered from one to several times a month.

American Councils for International Education:
ACTR/ACCELS is an international, non-profit, educational
organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices and
representative branches in around 25 countries, including most of
the countries of the former Soviet Union. Its mission is to
foster independence and democratic development by advancing
education and research, cultivating leadership, and empowering
individuals and institutions through learning. Founded in 1974 as
an association for area and language professionals, American
Councils has focused its expertise on academic exchange,
professional training, distance learning, curriculum and test
development, delivery of technical assistance, research,
evaluation, and institution building.
The American Councils office in Moldova was opened in 1992. It
administers several cultural exchange and study abroad programs
as well as programs for alumni development. The main project
currently administered by American Councils in Moldova is the
Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program. It
was established in 1992 under the FREEDOM Support Act. The
program is funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the
U.S. Department of State. FLEX provides scholarship funding
for high-school students (ages 15-17) from the 10 republics of
the former Soviet Union, including the Republic of Moldova, to
travel to the United States, attend an American high school for a
full academic year, and live with an American host family.

The Foundation of Advancement of Moldova represents Keiser
University in Moldova. Keiser is one of the largest private
career universities in Florida. It is accredited by the
Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges
and Schools to award certificates as well as associate,
bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. The main campus and
the online education division are located in Fort Lauderdale,
with additional campuses located throughout the State of Florida
(12 campuses) and internationally. The Keiser family founded the
university in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1977 when they
recognized a need in the community for quality career education
with a hands-on orientation. Since that time, the University has
grown to an institution worthy of regional accreditation
encompassing 13 physical campuses throughout the state of Florida
and employing over 2,000 faculty and staff. Enrollment across all
campuses totals around 12,000 students. Keiser University offers
40 high-demand associate, bachelor's and master's programs which
prepare graduates for careers in business, criminal justice,
health care, technology, hospitality, and education. All degree
programs are offered both campus-based and through Internet-based
distance learning. Keiser University has international
cooperative agreements with the university systems in China and
Moldova to serve international students.
The Foundation of Advancement of Moldova was established in 2004
to represent Keiser University in the Republic of Moldova. At the
beginning, the Foundation administered a joint program between
Keiser University and the State University of Moldova to offer
bachelor's degrees to Moldovan students. In 2008, Keiser
University extended its cooperation with the Foundation of
Advancement of Moldova to offer M.B.A. programs through
Internet-based distance learning. Moldovan students will be able
to pursue doctoral degrees in the near future.

EXCEL is a
Moldovan educational agency serving the needs of individuals and
organizations from across both public and private sectors in the
Republic of Moldova and abroad. Its mission is to promote
universal access to quality education and equity of opportunity
at affordable prices. EXCEL offers education consultancy services
to Moldovan and foreign students wishing to study abroad as well
as assists organizations in providing cost-effective high-quality
educational services.
The agency also provides a wide variety of complementary services
to students and parents: counseling and assistance throughout the
application process, testing and academic guidance, guardianship
and immigration services, full VISA and travel support, insurance
and assistance with financial matters, etc.
EXCEL collaborates actively with international educational
testing and assessment organizations as well as British educational
institutions aiming to license various UK qualifications to
educational institutions located in Eastern Europe. The agency
provides counseling and training to those schools, colleges, and
universities that are interested in offering UK educational
qualifications locally.
